Field Study No.15 Practice

Find something living that might be easy to overlook.

A new shoot.

A small flower.

A leaf beginning to open.

A plant growing where someone else might see only empty ground.

Pause beside it.

Notice its shape, its color, and the space it occupies.

Ask yourself:

What might this be carrying that I cannot yet see?

What care might help it continue?

Then look again at the people around you.

Remember that they, too, may be carrying something unmarked.

Something tender.

Something still growing beneath the surface.

Let your attention become a small act of care.
