A Day Led by Curiosity 🌿

Curiosity knew the way.

By a 12-year-old who already knows how to listen for what feels interesting, not just what’s next.

Phone in hand, capturing moments for future art.

Some days are meant to be followed.

Willowwood Arboretum didn’t ask for anything from us.

It offered movement.

Stillness.

A place to pause and wander.

Our discovery day began with a simple purpose:

To scout places within the arboretum
for future meadow walks.

But the sound of running water reached us before the garden did.

We followed it, wandered where it led🌿

and when the stream invited a crossing...

We both jumped.

🌿 She noticed the soil first.

Clay-like, rough in the hand, and shapeable if pressed gently.

Then the old urn, resting quietly among the green.

Softened by moss.

Shaped by time.

Almost like a tiny watchtower in the woods, standing quietly among the trees, holding its place through season after season.

The kind of detail many would pass by🌿

but Adri noticed. She chose well.

Still standing, still watching.
